Membership and Data Analyst

Supporting the healthy functioning of the firm’s membership process of a long-standing firm that supports many of the greatest business and civic minds of Chicago.

This position will assist with continuing to innovate the firm’s membership processes by researching marketplace data, meticulous cataloging and data management/cleanliness on the Salesforce platform. The position requires a high level of professionalism and exceptional communications skills as you will interface directly with external clients and members.

• Provide support to the Director of Membership in order to best serve the Membership Committee
• Prepare and manage details for in-person or virtual committee meetings ranging from 6-60 people in size
• Assist with development and improvement of the online system to manage candidates
• Serve as the liaison to the Reception Committee, a committee of 100+ members
• Organize annual Reception Committee luncheon
• Assign and oversee Reception Committee tasks at various programs
• Plan, organize and execute three breakfasts a year to welcome new members (attendance ranges from 35-55 people)
• Oversee the New Member Peer System to pair new members with existing members
• Support the candidate membership process by updating applications as needed
• Compile initial research and track prospective members (candidates)
• Conduct benchmarking against Chicago company and organizational data by industry to identify gaps and opportunities for membership
• Provide routine database management including member profiles, researching and verifying member status
• Maintain and develop improved processes for data hygiene
• Respond to inquiries and requests from members
• Provide administrative support including but not limited to answering phones, mail, organizing files and lists
• Write and draft various correspondence for management and prepare presentations
• Provide support on any special projects when needed
• Assist the Director of Membership whenever needed
• Assist with announcement and other survey sends to the membership via mass mailing platform

• Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of professional experience
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Salesforce knowledge a plus
• Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously and meet deadlines
• Demonstrated ability in effective and timely problem solving, as well as independently using own initiative
• Desire to work for a small organization and a strong team environment
