Research Associate

The Research Associate is responsible for identifying executives and companies within targeted sectors in support of search assignments and business development initiatives. Demonstrate your initiative and resourcefulness to develop well-planned strategies and achieve goals within tight timelines.

Comfortable and competent using technology in a business setting. Ability to manage a demanding research load, balance multiple tasks and switch gears while maintaining priorities. Identify market trends and research information effectively through various channels.

Responsibilities
• The Research Associate should have strong oral and written communication skills and have a high degree of comfort and professionalism obtaining information using various resources (Google, LinkedIn, resumes, etc.) and condensing into a short summary.
• Developing accurate industry related company target lists.
• Effective use of the proprietary company database to retrieve information on potential candidates and organizations.
• Inputting candidate data into the database and coding candidates identified in the research phase.
• Mapping organizations and sectors within the real estate industry.
• Adding value throughout the entire search process by providing additional information as deemed appropriate outside the initial research phase.
• Evaluating research resources, both current as well as possible new resources.
• Manage relationships with external databases and online resources and be the point person between the 3rd party and company employees.
• Articulate, persuasive and able to communicate difficult and complex matters in a straightforward, transparent manner. Strong organizational, analytical, detailed planning and project management skills.
• Possesses the ability to maintain professionalism and honesty while building credibility, trust, and respect with internal clients.
• Ability to grasp concepts quickly and think beyond traditional methods to exceed expectations.
• Curious and creative by nature. A team orientation will be a valuable addition to a collegial, collaborative environment. Proactive and self-motivated.
• Tenacious: does not give up until results are achieved. Strong intellectual capacity: a continuous learner, highly analytical, good conceptual thinking skills.

Requirements
• 2-3 years of experience with an undergraduate degree
• Excellent writing skills with proven research skills
• Excellent organizational skills with a very good eye for detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and competing demands under a deadline
• Skilled in developing relationships
• Competent using technology, including relational databases and proficiency with all MS Office Applications
• Exhibits pride in work, has a sense of urgency and a relentless drive to get a job done
• Strong internal client service orientation (essentially, the search professionals are the research team’s clients)
• Self-Motivated, problem solver, project/team oriented, results driven
