Talent Business Partner, Chicago, IL (Hybrid) Temporary

This role supports a broad range of HR and talent initiatives, providing business partnership, leadership guidance, and best-in-class solutions to multiple sub-practices within the organization.
As a Talent Business Partner, you will engage with business leaders, contribute to strategic human capital planning, and help execute initiatives that enhance employee experience, retention, and performance across the firm.
This is a long-term contract with potential for direct hire.
Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted advisor to practice leaders and leadership teams, understanding and addressing business and talent priorities.
- Lead annual talent planning, identifying priorities, needs, and action plans for your practice.
- Support leaders in enhancing effectiveness through training, development, and coaching.
- Execute performance management and succession planning, guiding leader pipeline planning and promotion readiness.
- Collaborate on talent acquisition strategies and support workforce planning initiatives.
- Analyze retention data, conduct stay interviews, focus groups, and listening sessions, and provide actionable insights.
- Manage sensitive or complex employee matters with discretion, escalating issues as needed.
- Support employee engagement initiatives, career development programs, and talent development strategies.
- Maintain accurate HR records, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
- Contribute to HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support the annual total rewards planning cycle.
- Partner with the DEI team to implement strategies, action plans, and inclusive leadership practices.
- Foster an inclusive, psychologically safe team environment, actively listening, valuing diverse perspectives, and building trust.
- Participate in cultural, philanthropic, and professional development initiatives.
- Promote career equity practices, educating employees and managers on career pathways and opportunities.
Ideal Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 4-10 years of experience, ideally with professional services or management consulting experience.
- Strong oral and written communication, with the ability to present, influence, and collaborate at all organizational levels.
- Data analysis and reporting skills to identify trends and inform strategic decisions.
- Project management, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
- HR systems proficiency (ATS, HRIS, Microsoft Office Suite).
- Demonstrated interpersonal, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Knowledge of employment law and HR best practices preferred.

Up to $40 per hour (based on experience)
