Research Associate, Chicago, IL (Hybrid)
We’re looking for a curious, detail-oriented Research Associate to join a leading global talent management consulting firm. In this role, you’ll be the go-to expert for uncovering top executive talent and key industry players across a range of sectors. Whether it’s powering high-impact search assignments or fueling business development, your research will help connect the dots. You’ll dive into industry sources, internal databases, and company intel to surface valuable insights and build targeted candidate pipelines. Responsibilities
- Develop client-facing materials for business development and search execution, including drafting candidate biographies.
- Perform secondary research utilizing firm resources to compile market research, business intelligence, and current trends to support business development and search execution needs.
- Research companies, prepare target lists, and assist with candidate identification.
- Develop a full understanding of the research needs of internal clients (members of the ExecutiveSearch practice) and effectively communicate findings and research methodologies.
- Maintain the accuracy, quality, and integrity of all search information in the proprietary database while adhering to local and global data quality standards.
- Evaluate research resources, both current and possible new resources.
- Manage relationships with external databases and online resources and liaise betweenthe 3rd party and company employees.
- Act as a knowledge champion for the firm by identifying market trends and conducting research.

Ideal Experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 1-3 years’ experience in professional services, administration, or a similar field.
- Attention to detail, and the ability to manage a demanding research load, balance multiple tasks, and switch gears while maintaining priorities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills(both oral and written) with proven writing and research skills.
- Exhibits pride in work, has a sense of urgency, and a relentless drive to follow through on projects.
- Intellectually curious with a genuine interest in learning about people, business, and industries.
- Skilled at finding innovative solutions in uncertain or unclear circumstances.
- High level of professionalism, confidence, and clarity when dealing with colleagues.
- Demonstrated judgment and ability to deal with confidential and sensitive matters effectively.
- Excellent team player and comfortable working independently.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, with the ability to learn.
