Senior Marketing Manager, Chicago, IL (Hybrid)
The Senior Manager, Marketing leads the strategy, creation, execution, and management of content, awards, and events that strengthen brand credibility, thought leadership, and solution storytelling. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, this role partners closely with creative, digital, PR, business development, and external agencies to deliver impactful, on-brand content that supports demand generation, lead growth, and long-term brand building.
Success in this role includes building a scalable content operation, driving a strong and repeatable awards strategy, and serving as a trusted cross-functional partner. Responsibilities
- Partner with senior stakeholders and external agencies to develop and manage brand, product, and solution content across websites, sales materials, and business development assets.
- Translate brand strategy and solution narratives into audience-focused content aligned with brand standards.
- Lead thought leadership content development, including blogs, white papers, POVs, and playbooks.
- Partner with PR and communications teams on media bylines, contributed content, and agency coordination.
- Manage content strategy and projects from ideation through publication.
- Collaborate with SMEs and leadership to turn insights into market-ready stories.
- Lead end-to-end management of award programs, including opportunity identification, submissions, stakeholder coordination, and supporting materials.
- Partner with creative, PR, and digital teams to promote award wins across campaigns, social media, press releases, and sales enablement efforts.
- Support B2B events through speaking materials, promotional content, booth messaging, engagement strategies, and post-event follow-up in partnership with BD teams.
- Coordinate event logistics and support with internal stakeholders; occasional travel may be required.
- Develop/manage editorial calendars, long-term content roadmaps aligned with business goals and campaigns.
- Oversee content workflows, timelines, and operational processes to ensure efficient cross-functional collaboration.
- Manage relationships with external content and PR agencies.
- Continuously improve content processes, tools, and documentation to scale production.
- Track and optimize content performance in partnership with digital marketing teams and contribute to leadership reporting.
- Collaborate on SEO-optimized content initiatives.
- Support additional marketing projects as needed.
Ideal Experience
- 7+ years of experience in B2B and/or healthcare marketing.
- At least 2 years of experience in professional services or consulting marketing.
- Strong background in content strategy and brand storytelling.
- Experience with thought leadership, PR bylines, award submissions, or event content strongly preferred.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and project management skills.
- Comfortable partnering cross‑functionally and managing multiple stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel for internal and external events and meetings.
- Ready to embrace people leadership responsibilities as the Marketing team grows.
- Experience with technology or product‑led organizations, M&A content integration.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.
