Contract Recruiter, Chicago, IL (Remote)

A management consulting firm is looking for an experienced, detail-driven Recruiter to join the Talent Acquisition team temporarily. In this role, you’ll be instrumental in supporting near-term hiring priorities, overseeing the end-to-end recruiting process for a variety of management and technology consulting roles. Partnering closely with internal recruiters and hiring managers, you’ll source, evaluate, and move top talent through the pipeline while delivering a seamless, high-touch experience for both candidates and stakeholders.
This contract role will provide high-impact recruiting support during a period of focused hiring demand, with an emphasis on quality, responsiveness, and adaptability throughout the engagement.
Responsibilities
- Partner with team recruiters and hiring managers to understand role requirements, hiring timelines, and sourcing strategies.
- Manage requisitions from intake to offer acceptance for assigned roles, meeting deadlines with minimal direction.
- Source active/passive talent through LI Recruiter, job boards, employee referrals, and other creative channels.
- Screen candidates for qualifications, experience, and cultural fit using consistent evaluation methods.
- Coordinate and schedule interviews directly with candidates and interview teams, ensuring a smooth, positive experience for all participants.
- Keep candidates and hiring teams informed and engaged throughout the process, providing timely follow-up and clear communication.
- Prepare candidate summaries, facilitate feedback collection, and lead or contribute to debrief sessions.
- Draft and extend offer letters, ensuring compliance with firm policies.
- Utilize the applicant tracking system, Jobvite, to generate reports to track pipeline health and inform decision-making.
- Identify risks and escalate appropriately.
- Balance speed of delivery with strong process (interview notes, Jobvite process adherence, candidate communications, etc.).
- Other project-related responsibilities as needed.
Ideal Experience
- 4 years of full-cycle recruiting experience in an agency or corporate environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience recruiting in professional services or consulting, ideally with a healthcare focus.
- Strong sourcing expertise, including LinkedIn Recruiter and applicant tracking systems; experience tracking recruiting metrics. Intermediate to advanced Excel and reporting skills.
- Ability to independently manage multiple requisitions, prioritize effectively, and deliver results with minimal oversight.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to clarity and professionalism.
- High level of discretion, integrity, and sound judgment when handling sensitive information.
- Proven problem-solver who remains composed and resilient in fast-paced environments.
Up to $30 per hour(based on experience)
