Senior HR Associate, Chicago, IL (Hybrid)

Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for operations, finance, and compliance roles, from sourcing through offer acceptance.
- Support and track C-suite hiring for portfolio companies, including pipeline building, database management, and preparation of quarterly reports.
- Partner confidently with senior leaders, partners, and operating partners throughout the recruitment process.
- Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes, including temporary coverage during a maternity leave period.
- Lead the implementation of a new HRIS system, keeping the HR team aligned with deadlines and deliverables (no prior system implementation experience required).
- Provide support to leadership with scheduling needs and coordination.
- Manage SEO sponsorship relationships and coordinate volunteer opportunities with the investment team.
- Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Support annual HR processes, including benefits enrollment, performance reviews, and policy updates.
- Assist employees and managers with HR-related inquiries, policies, and best practices to promote a positive employee experience.
- Contribute to employee engagement, learning and development initiatives, and other HR projects as the role evolves.
Ideal Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 4–7 years of HR experience, ideally at the senior associate level.
- Experience in smaller firms or professional services strongly preferred.
- Background across recruiting, scheduling, and HR generalist responsibilities required; agency recruiting experience acceptable if adaptable to an in-house environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence in engaging senior stakeholders.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-changing environment with shifting priorities every six months.
- Highly proactive, organized, and team-oriented mindset.
- Ability to manage urgent, time-sensitive matters and support multiple time zones globally.
- Outgoing personality with strong relationship-building skills.
